UC Berkeley’s Early Childhood Education Program provides high quality early learning opportunities that nurture and support the youngest students on UC Berkeley’s campus. We teach young children of UC Berkeley’s students, faculty, and staff in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that sparks curiosity and exploration.

Our unique model cultivates learning for young children, their families, our scholars, and our community. The robust and consistent programming provided by ECEP ensures that students, faculty and staff can pursue excellence in their chosen fields, confident that their children are receiving a high-quality early education. 

ECEP relies on your contributions to maintain cutting edge learning environments, provide continuous professional training for our educators, and to support families of young children with resources that help them successfully balance family, school, and work.

Big Give 2022 Thank you to all who donated during UC Berkeley’s Big Give! ECEP raised $11,765 on March 10th, 2022 for 💧The Ways of Water – Outdoor Enhancement Equipment💧 intended to ensure that every ECEP play yard has a water table, play river, mud kitchen, or other age-appropriate equipment to explore the fascinating properties of water. We will continue our fundriaising efforts to raise $30,000 so that all children in our care have the opportunity to benefit from these amazing enrichments. Please help us provide the youngest Cal students with opportunities to grow their bodies and minds!

Past Giving

ECEP wishes to thank everyone who makes our Annual Big Give successful.Curious about last year’s Fun in the Sun Big Give? ECEP raised $14,860 (or nearly 60% of our goal), and we couldn’t have done it without you! In the last year ECEP installed roman shades and roller curtains (Jan ’22) at the Child Study Center, a large permanent sail shade at UVA (April ’21), and smaller individual sail shades at Haste (various). We are still in the process of installing more sun mitigation shades with other funds! Thank you for your support!!
